Apprentice fish harvester in Newfoundland and Labrador. I live rurally and post about my day to day life.
My parents have committed to extra treats, including out of province treat benefits. They will also be increasing the rate of pats, and are open to other demands in order to maintain the status quo of happy cats

Wow the sunflower industry in China is huge! They do have special varieties that grow well in land that struggles with more traditional crops. There are loads of processors and adjacent industries including sunflower tourism! www.chinadaily.com.cn/a/202502/18/...
Inner Mongolian sunflower seeds shine bright in global marketplace

Oh there are some new results from the last time I looked on google for sunflower farms. Even videos

I kinda get the feeling that there is a lot of science and agriculture research and stuff in China in seed growing, perhaps the manufactures have their own varieties of sunflowers. I wish I could find out more maybe some pictures of the sunflowers

Spitz doesn’t say on their product where they get their seeds from, but I probably could call and ask. I assume they are grown in Canada but it’s possible they are imported. They are for sure a different variety of sunflower seeds than the ones they grow in inner Mongolia

It’s a Chinese company and the sunflowers are grown in Inner Mongolia but there are at least two manufactures that provide the company. One of them has a larger plumper seed. But both have better quality control in regard to bugs than Canadian company Spitz.

Oh I’d read that for sure. There was this series I was reading about a little girl who was a chemist or some such thing and solved murders. I liked those.

That’s a good idea too, there are a lot of great books in public domain now. The Libby app is just so convenient though and it works with my Fitbit so I can pause with my watch. I also like how it tracks all the books I borrowed and if I finished them or not.

I sometimes read romance but not so much the popular romantasty, but I did like Rainbow Rowells Carry On series. I have borrowed over 400 books from Libby and most of them I have enjoyed. Some of them I hate read like the Frieda McFadden ones

I like historical fiction too like Geraldine Brooks, three of hers I loved. Ruth Ozeki has at least two that I think about all the time. There is this fun book called Oona out of Order which played with timelines, I think I’ve read a few similar

Oh gee, I don’t even know how to describe the books I like, mostly domestic trillers, but I also like fantasy books, one of my favourites is called Highfire it’s about a dragon that retired to the bayou.
