Including all the other heatwave dangers that are likely being communicated by CDC, FDA, etc., extended power outages may lead to people using portable generators. If you have a generator at home, make sure your carbon monoxide alarms are working. Put your generator 20ft away from any windows/vents.

This was totally expected, but it's still wrong & makes no sense per Equal Protection Clause jurisprudence.
There's no group of people more "discrete and insular" right now than trans ppl. The notion that laws targeting them only need to pass rational basis review is bonkers. I wrote about it:

The ugly truth is that "America First," or MAGA, is whatever Trump says it is. Trump just showed that he understands this core fact about MAGA perfectly well. He's redefining "America First" as bombing Iran as we speak. Most of MAGA will be just fine with that. 6/6

Theoretically, there should be a coalition of Dems and Republicans prepared to support this resolution requiring congressional authorization for war with Iran.
Dems tell me they expect some defections (infuriating) but the bigger test is on the MAGA-GOP side. 4/
