Still here to complain about local politics.
Looks like someone is pumping their blog out to all registered voters to drum up views and/or opposition to the lakefront plans.

I also really want any proof on intimidation. The meetings still have people speaking against it in public comment. NextDoor is 80% people against development. Fanlund writes his piece whenever he wants. It seems like Paul is actually insecure that maybe he isn't as progressive as he labels himself

I will also say that when I first got involved with local politics, the amount of tsk tsking, scolding, and lecturing that I heard (and still hear) was enormous. Fanlund allies shouted down city staff. Acting like these are people willing to hear both sides is absolutely laughable.

Ah, the unethical press conference...

So many thoughts on the return of Paul.
It is interesting that when attacking this you don't say "missing middle"
He also seems uninterested in a homeowners "right" to build an ADU. Only the right to stop their neighbor from building one

"should we build more housing?"
Random NextDoor posters "no, we should just get everyone to agree to stop having kids. Or stop moving here. Or something"

Who was responsible for giving Maynard the weinie? Was there a meeting about it? It's such a funny touch

This is very good and a conversation to have. Madison BRT funding was so much getting new buses, payment systems, etc because funding then required the fancy system. Queue jumping, dedicated lanes, etc aren't brt concepts - they're bus concepts

Good job, Dave. "I call it like I see it because I'm not on either side" isn't entirely played out or the most boring style of punditry.

Car-centric planning prevents your town from being swindled by traveling salesmen because it makes it much more difficult for them to start a moral panic in the town square.

Don't worry, Nino doesn't live in district 19 either!

So it looks like Robert Luther does exist and Tag does have an opponent next month

Though being the biggest crank in here is tough given the answer that one doesn't take the bus because you're afraid you'll get scabies!

This isthmus district 9 piece has some hilarious answers.
Is Pritchett looking for the No New Stadium vote in the wrong district?

Plus, too many no turn on red signs is really bottom 3 for you?!?

Huh. Well, given her WORT interview it looks like she's just going for the NextDoor crowd

Sooo, finders keepers? I'd love to own an old set of parking meters.

What happened in 2020, Paul?

*pushes hipster glasses to nose* I "downloaded" an analog version of the little red book in Beijing 15 years ago.

I don't even know what people are pretending to complain about anymore. The zoning updates are so vanilla

Can't argue with endorsements like these!
