I am identifying key issues on which I am most concerned. For me, that's educational issues confronting K-12 and higher education. Practically, that means I'm paying attention to possible cuts in research funding and K-12 policy changes, especially at it related to underserved students, right now.

I focus on staying grounded. That means that I eat, sleep, and exercise well, stay involved with my family and local community, and take sufficient time to process what is happening. I don't have to respond immediately or in the moment.

That’s a good question. What I appreciated about this podcast episode was that it argued that one’s support for a given policy (say, upzoning) is usually driven by whether you like living in such an environment. And that outcomes, economic self-interest, and evidence played less of a role.
