Going to have a frost tonight, first of the year. My cluster of little pencil pines would not have tolerated that, so—time for them to come in for the winter. I've sprayed them & treated the soil for bugs, but to make sure, i have saran-wrapped a plant. A first for me. Unwrapping in a week or so.

Ok. By way of peacing out a bit:
I decided to follow my daughter's lead, collected some seeds from a dragonfruit, & planted them in several starter cups. Here we have four of the resulting dragonfruit seedlings. Grown from seed, from a grocery-store fruit :)

I used collect and also buy cool rocks on trips around the US as a kid and young adult. Not so much anymore (nowadays i collect seeds to take home & plant when i'm out on walks), but i do have this one.

Here, an unlit little side room holds a ton of books—many of them forming a half-wall across the entrance. You can buy one, if you have verrrrry long arms

It was one of those used bookstore that's more an Old Books' Home. I mean, this arrangement does not exactly encourage you to buy:
