Two main points. 1. Musk's shenanigans hurt Tesla, but increased demand for other EVs, which is a good thing in the long term. 2. It has material implications for Net Zero policies in the short term.

That’s what I don’t think we can tell yet. There has been many other shocks so hard to tell how much is permanent or just cumulative transitory effects.

From the Penn world tables it seems there was a dip, but back to normal.
