Another Derwent Water photo. Unfortunately, after two days of walking, I’m currently feeling my age (& my feet are feeling 20 years older). Not sure what I’ll be up to doing tomorrow…

Wigan Diggers Festival tomorrow, in honour of Gerrard Winstanley [1609-1676; born in the parish of Wigan], the leader of a group known as the Diggers, who sought a fairer distribution of land for cultivation to help the poor. More in the book…
Now published as an ebook. A light-hearted & eclectic travelogue, as two ‘mature’ friends embark on day trips to seven Lancashire towns (Bolton, Oldham, Preston, Bury, Blackburn, Wigan and Rochdale) in search of cultural enlightenment (& in the interests of research, beer)

Eyeoholic

A touch of the thumb finger
The app opens and I start
To pay with mine eyes

Eyeoholic, there is never enough
Down and down the eyes go
Every sweep a chip of a cent
To push the assent of “man”

I know but
Here I go

The revolution will not be televised

from a dream
Confused by the storm
Confused by the rain
And made Breakfast

See the screen, whatever its size
Cats jump in boxes
And whatever
Sugar in the coffee

Exit the apartment
As jack lemon dies
Remember

The revolution will not be televised

The Golden Lion pub, Todmorden, W. Yorks now one of the trendiest pubs in the UK dates from the mid 18th century with early 19th century additions. The decorative rainwater head bears the date 1780. A book club was run from here from 1798 to 1902. It was Grade 2 listed in 1984. /1
