Sadly, both her and my uncle voted in a manner that their coverage more than likely will be axed shortly. My heart hurts to know they willfully voted to loose what little retirements they have as well as their health coverage.

They are about to have the day they voted for.

We talked about insurance briefly and she mentioned how they are on government assistance coverage. Later in the call, she bought up briefly the “craziness” going on in D.C. I shuffled about the conversation. 2🧵

It hurts because I thought this “Lightning strike” moment could be indicative of things developing or in the least retaining each other as friends.

But it’s times like these that you count your blessings for people who have your back. They protected me on this one.

Agreed. The more baffling part of this is that the public is perfectly acceptable of it too. Plot twist: we shouldn’t be.

Fortunately, I can pay such additional expenses. But what about the thousands that can’t who have to choose between health and dinner food?

Well….its counted as “socialist” until you become elderly. Then, it becomes an expectation.

Voted straight blue but in a red state here. Remember it’s a marathon, not a sprint. Stick to your guns long term. In my state, it will kill an entire industry I’m proud of. But you know what? This is what they wanted. Let them have it. 💁‍♀️
