Secuencia de aterrizaje-giro-posición final de un macho de Osmia cornuta que acude a una flor de Viola odorata para chupar el néctar que hay dentro de su espolón, que como se puede ver está en posición vertical en la parte posterior de la flor. Si no girase no podría llegar al néctar con su lengua.

Despite experiencing high summer temperatures, the interior of the capitula of 15 species of Mediterranean thistles blooming during the hottest time of year was substantially cooler than the air most of the time.
