On the last day of our US History in Film class, I was honored to present to student scholars their “Oscars” for the top 5 digital review projects and top 5 green-screen videos analyzing a film. Glad to have their classmates recognize the strength of their semester-long work.

Can’t wait to present with our eldest for the first time. Grateful to share the joy of teaching with @katethegreatweatherall and for us to share that with others at @educonphilly.bsky.social, our family conference.

My favorite “meeting” today was the 75 minutes with my US History in Film class, discussing the 1946 film, Best Years of Our Lives, as a primary source about a moment in time when the nation thought the future was going to be one thing, and grappled with what the future might hold.

This one was rough but 2023 Super Sprint Tri in Manassas done. (First time with a swim where we had to get out twice and get back in to swim more. 14 pool lengths in and getting out without a ladder in water taller than me was a bit chaotic.) But glad to have done second sprint Tri this season.
