So many who have worked in DH have imitated the leadership, work, and humanity that @brettbobley.bsky.social has shared with all of us.

12 years ago & before/since, at a conference of aspiring DHers, Brett, in his special way, made such an impact on a group of us who are still changing academia.

The conclusion is a little too pat, but this is a lively, readable article genuinely wrestling with a hard issue. +
Will the Humanities Survive Artificial Intelligence?
Maybe not as we’ve known them. But, in the ruins of the old curriculum, something vital is stirring.

What a terrific experience, presenting with my eldest at @educonphilly.bsky.social for the first time. Great discussions and what a privilege to share teaching conversations with a future educator.

The world needs more good, accurate, and trustworthy information. I want to help scholars get their research and ideas out into the world by using digital tools and media.

I’d like to create a few How-To videos.

What topics and tools would you like to learn about? What would be helpful to you?

Hey #DigitalHumanities folks, I'd love your help! I'm putting together a list of sample projects for the history senior capstone. I'm looking for projects that are:
- solo-authored
- by a student
- sustained engagements with a research q (akin to a 15-20 pg paper)
- shared with student's permission

On the last day of our US History in Film class, I was honored to present to student scholars their “Oscars” for the top 5 digital review projects and top 5 green-screen videos analyzing a film. Glad to have their classmates recognize the strength of their semester-long work.

As so many people arrive here, let me just say, “Hello & welcome” & ask that you submit nominations of Digital History projects to the JAH. Projects can be of all sizes and shapes but be related to American History. We are also looking for book-equivalent DH projects.
