Funny how a supposed "national security" purpose for the tariffs didn't make it into Solicitor General's Sauer's narrative of why Trump imposed them. Maybe Trump's application of them to Switzerland and Canada and a ton of other nonthreatening nations had something to do with that choice.

Gellman's book on Dick Cheney is a masterpiece among other bios of American pols. Even while Bush/Cheney was still in office, Gellman exposed Cheney as a poor steward of the federal fisc, a lover of land wars, and manipulator of a president beyond what any other Vice had done in U.S. history.

Has it occurred to Trump that there's no way he could personally sign all of the pardons of all of the people criming on his behalf during his presidency, except through the use of autopens and similar technology?
