When this statement comes from someone whose background is media, not football, it makes me a little anxious.

My dad was of an era when people expected dad’s to be mainly a disciplinarian. One of my cherished memories is being 6 and coming home from school crying over hurt feelings. My dad scooped me onto his knee in the rocking chair while I poured my little heart out.
