LADWP does not handle any light on steel or cement pole

LADWP is non profit. They must buy what customers use. Billing is set from this cost plus set overhead. Inflation costs are passed on to customer

Sounds like a nuisance value claim. Throw money at us so you don’t have to go to court.

Info only, LADWP is not a public utility. If it were, state would have authority, which it doesn’t. It is a one of a kind hybrid that is self owned, not part of Los Angeles government

They really don’t care

Actually, the only connection between LA DWP and sanitation is the billing back in the 50s city Council wanted LA DWP to be the bill collector.
December 24, 2025 at 11:57 PM
Yes, since they have no connection to street sweepers. Sanitation or department of streets
December 24, 2025 at 2:49 AM
DWP is nonprofit and must buy what customers use. Coal generation is still the cheapest
December 19, 2025 at 4:48 AM
Not a DWP issue, contractor who connected lines responsible. Trash is Sanitation, not DWP
December 17, 2025 at 11:55 PM
By the way, check my bio, I’m an expert on DWP billing

1st,NBC clip is 4 months old. 2nd DWP is nonprofit, they have to buy everything you use. If you listen to the news report, last rate hike due to this cost. 3rd sewer and trash are from sanitation not DWP. Sewer charge recalculates. Every July explaining why man in clip hadn’t seen that price before.

You go to a restaurant and order a meal. After you eat it all, you complain about the bill.
You know the cost KWH and when you turn on anything it uses power. Why are you complaining about your own actions

First thing is break the seal which makes water contaminated. Whatever the size water flushed to the sea. Drain, clean , flush and wait for inspection of new seal before refill. Weeks for each tank. Who catches the blame if there is only one fire

Which has nothing to do with the drinking water system
November 29, 2025 at 8:02 AM
800 or 8,000 public opinion polls doesn’t matter
November 27, 2025 at 7:07 AM
LADWP does not own this power plantIT WILL continue to operate based on coal until refitted. DWP wok not purchase any coal created electrify after December.

Take bill to meter. If read on meter is HIGHER than what is on bill, it is correct. Causes: ceiling heaters mistakenly turned on, malfunctioning refrigerator or A/C. DWP did away with residential electric inspections 50 years ago. Now up to customer to identify
November 21, 2025 at 5:44 PM
Not being a wise guy. Print out latest bill and the one from 12 months ago. Compare line by line and answer will jump out. Check my bio
November 21, 2025 at 6:39 AM
DWP uses meter reads to compute your billing. In the event I read is unable to be obtained, the word estimated is printed on the bill. If you believe someone else is stealing, it is not a DWP issue. It’s a civil matter.30 years at DWP, never saw one case of theft between two customers.

One problem, power, water, and power commissioners do not have the authority to do anything. The position is a political reward from the mayor. Their idea must be passed on to Los Angeles city Council to be written into an actual motion. City council then has to vote on it and provide funding

Compare Sept/Oct 2024 bill to current bill. The cause of increase (use, rates or sanitation) will stand out immediately
