Big park + density + spring = 💖

Apparently, if you are experiencing homelessness, and hit and killed by a car, it's your fault. coloradosun.com/2025/04/08/c...

Ugh.

Whhyyyyy can't my bus just go in a straight line? It would probably cut my trip time in half.

Today's bullshit sidewalk situation, on Quebec St, just north of Colfax, Denver's most heavily used bus route. We need the city to get the new sidewalk program up and running ASAP.

Eventually, thanks to the voter-approved Denver Deserves Sidewalks initiative, this bus stop will be connected to a sidewalk. But today, it still sucks.

This is the June photo for my 2024 Calendar. Wildflowers + morning light = 😍

This is the May photo for my 2024 Calendar. One of my favorite parts of camping is watching the sun rise and set from the campsite. I think Nuche likes that too.

This is the April photo for my 2024 Calendar. One of the perks of living in Colorado is the close proximity of New Mexico - where this photo was taken and a truly enchanted place - and one of the perks of both CO and NM is the fabulous sky.

This is the March photo for my 2024 Calendar.

March can be the toughest month in Colorado, when you're tired of winter but it just keeps snowing, and you wish it had snowed like that back in December, but now you're just grumpy. It helps if you have someone warm and fuzzy to snuggle with.

This is the February photo for my 2024 Calendar. I feel like this tree is a friend that shares my affection for City Park, always inviting passersby to admire the view and notice the particular way the park looks beautiful at this moment.

This is the January photo for my 2024 calendar. I walk past this statue of MLK Jr. nearly every day & always appreciate my visits with him. He reminds me to center love in my advocacy work and helps me keep perspective on the long arc of the moral universe that my work aims to bend toward justice.

It's that time of year to think about year-end donations & 2024 calendars! If you'd like to purchase a 2024 calendar featuring my photography for $50, I will donate the net proceeds to the Denver Streets Partnership. DM me if you are interested! Below is the cover photo from my 2023 calendar.

Thank you to the Latino Cultural Arts Center for creating this beautiful ofrenda for World Day of Remembrance for traffic crash victims, part of an exhibit along with victims' stories on display at the Denver City & County building until November 27. #WDoR2023

I hope that someday we can no longer hold vigils for the victims of traffic violence. Until then, I will continue my work to ensure we remember and honor the lives we have sacrificed to our unsafe, unbalanced transportation system. #WDoR2023

Asking people to drive safely isn't going to prevent traffic fatalities when our streets are dangerous by design. Come show your support for the systemic changes needed today at 5 pm - meet at the City & County bldg & walk to 16th & Arapahoe.
