Another similar example to this is dairy production. avg herd sizes have been fairly stubborn at 200-300 head while per cow prod. has increased, all the while total herd has slowly declined
There are a number of commodities that haven’t seen the declines like broadacre cropping. livestock, with its comparatively low barrier to entry has remained stubbornly small scale
