My Fridays have been invaded by a tight schedule and around 2 PM I remember I should be on here! Maybe when the clocks change I can make it.
I have to head off earlier than I would otherwise, to get my partner to a doctor's appointment that was made before #SciFiChat atarted up again. But I look forward to seeing all of you next week.

#scifichat I think they do but only in dollars worth of research. I expect them to use current AI models to program for consciousness. If adults today don’t do it, kids tomorrow will. Sorcerer’s Apprentice!!

#scifichat I have all the usual excuses for missing the chat again today. Loved reading the exchange on AI but would talk more about where it will be in 20 years. Will politics defund it as happened to space travel? Or will drone warfare currently being fought fuel the leap to conscious robots?

#scifichat today a Bill got signed into law green lighting a lot of cryptocurrency actions that will dwarf current AI models. Purportedly, this law prevents the Fed from creating an official crypto dollar. I’m expecting AI will be put in charge of money movements - or take charge.
AI scientist: We took all the intelligence of the Internet and mine it for a really smart algorithmm to run our country and do all the work!

#scifichat this week I also began setting up a new HP laptop with Windows which I hate. But I got it working. the HP has a touch screen which is nice, but not as clear as my iPad.

#scifichat the free form LARP allows the player's subconscious to manifest in the story substance. If "madness" is what the creator is made of, madness will disrupt every scenario. And it is NEVER "JUST" team building.
LARP lets you stop overthinking your plot and just run with throwing madness at your protagonist.
However, if it is more like an escape room or a problem-solving dungeon, it's just team-building, at best.

#scifichat A6 - as I said, THE WALLS ARE TUMBLING DOWN! A storyteller must not only master all these forms (and Bardic forms) but try hard to invent and popularize forms that sprawl across all the forms. A good series premise can be used to bring out the best in each medium.
#scifichat that's how film scripts are done, but when I do a novel, I DON'T do motivations and goals. I throw a CHALLENGE at a Character. The responses reveal who that character is and what they want to achieve (so I drive them to achieve something else.) Collaborative fiction is very different
I haev started a process of planning #RPG games, where I write the initial character motivations and goals, instead of trying to create an entire plotline (an exercise in aggravation), I just invent villains and some random obstructive events, and I just play out the evil guy. #sciFiChat
