As the #Orillia powers up and cleans up, huge thanks are due to EVERYONE who checked on a senior, lent out a generator, fed a friend, donated essentials, picked up tree debris for a neighbour, restricted water use, or helped out in way.

Postpone laundry and dishwashing
Take shorter showers
Flush toilets only when necessary

Organized opposition to use of the notwithstanding clause to meet the challenges of homelessness and addiction is growing.
I was pleased to sign a letter with 450 members of the Ontario legal community opposing the threatened use of the notwithstanding clause to
strip homeless persons of their rights under the Canadian Charter.

Organized opposition to use of the notwithstanding clause to meet the challenges of homelessness and addiction is growing.
Sounds like they may need involuntary residential treatment.
Some Conservative MPs arrived drunk at the House of Commons last Thu night for the GST relief vote. They screamed, disrupted proceedings that parliamentary pages were removed from the unsafe opposition lobby. In most workplaces, showing up intoxicated is grounds 4 dismissal.
