Also, it's a very standard norm to have government information be freely available to the public unless there is compelling reason why it needs to be hidden? That norm has never been perfectly followed, but this sort of thing falls well within what you'd expect to be publicly available.

Should we even call neck downs new to SF, given as there are a bunch in the Presidio?

They may sometimes pull in extra people for event day trains or the such, but both of the regular conductors definitely do fare inspections these days.

Mountain View is within the purview of South Bay YIMBY and Palo Alto is in the purview of Peninsula For Everyone.

If you nuke the VRA do you even need single-member districts? Why not just elect 12 at-large members?

Reminds me of the section of I-280 in San Mateo that you are allowed to bike on (in the current year there are reasonable alternatives --- I believe it is a holdover from before when the nearby path existed).

He voted for the initial version and said that he wanted to see amendments before concurrence. He then abstained and made comments to the press opposing SB79 in concurrence (www.mv-voice.com/housing/2025... ).

Oh some of it, yeah. But fundamentally probably should have sent lines up Santa Clara/ECR/Stevens Creek, not had the Orange Line, Blue Line, or most of the Green Line at all. But in 10 years hopefully that won't matter any more.

Put together like 100 photos of family across time, put it into a digital photo frame, and give it to him

Well, there is also a difference in your day-to-day if you manage to retard scientific advancement to the point where your own medical quality of life in 20 years will be substantially worse. But that would require thinking ahead.

Also, I was somewhat curious if the 15 minute time improvement you were facetiously referring to was the actual "traffic model" or w/e estimate or just a stand-in for "minor improvement on an obscene commute."

This is mostly me being too lazy to look it up myself, but does the third lane include the third lane on the San Rafael side all the way to the 101 interchange?
Also I feel like I saw someone (probably you?) cite something that claimed that crashes were down since the bike lane had been introduced.

Is there an actual 15 minute savings being asserted? How would that come about?

That makes me curious how many places in the Bay Area you can readily have a direct view of 300+ cars without being more than ~20 feet in the air.
I think that's probably basically places like the Levi's Stadium surface lots when full and maybe some specific overpasses during rush hour?

I mean, my bigger issue in this picture is the car parked on a sidewalk. If the tradeoff is purely "street parking" vs "travel lane" I'll take street parking for the traffic calming. Of course, the real tradeoff is those two versus street trees, buildings, wider sidewalks, etc.

In this framing, are you deliberately referring to "The Group"s in a non-ideological sense (i.e., also don't let more centrist Groups force you into inauthentic or unhelpful stances)?
