Google's dumb AI thinks we're in October already. Yahoo Sports app sent the push notification that the Lightning won and I wanted to see if it was a preseason or regular season game. And well, their AI did technically (unwittingly) give me the correct answer by the end.
Google search for "is hockey preseason over", which was the autofill I decided to roll with while typing, "is hockey preseason or regular season right now". The AI Overview highlights the sentence "Yes, NHL hockey preseason is over for 2025," before adding "as the schedule ran from September 20 to October 4, 2025, and the regular season began shortly after. The preseason serves as a final opportunity for team evaluations and roster adjustments before the competitive regular season begins, which for 2025-26, started on October 7." So Google's AI thinks it's at least October 8th

Using one photo already on your phone, what is the announcement tomorrow at 2?

Neat thing Dunedin is doing: when parents order food at concessions, they hand kids shrink wrapped packs of 10 or so baseball cards for free. It's all from the era of overproduction, late 80s to 2000 or so.

She did get a Shawn Green & a ChiSox era Jose Canseco, I noticed
Didn't get a good pic, but it's my niece who spent about 5 minutes going through her pack of appx 10 cards, realized they're "old" & told my sis "Imagine what I can sell this for in a few years." Oh, sweet summer child...

Yhoangel Aponte's MiLB page. He's the player so strong that in a game this year I watched him - as a RH batter - golf a ball both low and so far outside it was almost in the LH batter box, and pull it over the left field wall for a homer on a swing that was almost an "excuse me" swing. (Like, he looked like he was trying to check his swing until he realized he might make contact and finished through.) And has a cannon of an arm playing RF, legit reminded me of Ronald a couple of times out there this year. May never make it to the show, but he's a scrappy kid who came here mid-season and deserves a team willing to develop him. I randomly happened to be at his first Dunedin game. He was so desperate to make a good first impression that he dove to first on his first AB, a single he hit so deep in the hole to short close to 3rd that the SS didn't even attempt a throw. It worked; seemed like he was a favorite among teammates the games I saw him in after. Played SS and 3rd for Dunedin, only here for 2 months apparently. Good defender, not a big HR threat, but the type of kid that can line doubles to both OF gaps

Fentanyl exposure ISN'T A THING. If I randomly touched a trace amount, I'd be more likely to:

- Catch a Sasquatch fucking Nessie
- Film it & release the sextape
- Have the video verified as authentic by experts & prove to the world that cryptids are real

...than I would be to need Narcan.

And it wanted me to look at a Meta AI "Story" of a poorly generated Nintendo Switch. Who is this for? Who wants that?

However, top left, Switch is spelled "SKTOCHI" with Nintendo being some unintelligible gibberish and on the bottom OLED is misspelled as "OLEO."

Pregame had a video bio of Billy Bean. His widow Greg Baker threw out the first pitch.
