Really like the roundish Oakish leaves against to dark background, it makes them glow.

Soothing colors & I like how you captured the movement of the wavelets.

Made me smile.

What a cute photo! I like his expression. What a treat for you to see.

This is a really nice portrait of them, it looks like a painting, actually.

Oh my goodness, he's really serious about chomping on those fingers! But I like how cute he looks when he's done taste testing & just sitting there thinking. Or maybe planning his next attack?

Oh, these are arty! I especially like the hare, there's a great feeling of motion & you used the wood well to highlight their streamlined shape.

They do look sleepy. Hope they had a good nap.

Oh, I really like this and it's something different for you. It's wonderfully composed & feels very wild, with no human elements, which is welcome. Cute little bird too. It's a strictly western species, which explains it's unfamiliarity to me. But would make a nice pen & ink drawing.

Really like their gentle expression. They look friendly, too.

I've found that doing detailed thumbnails or prelims saps some of the energy from the piece, so that
s why I don't usually do a lot of details on my prelims. I'll block things out, but save all the shading, colors, etc for the final piece.

You're welcome. That's a good description, too.

Walnut is one of my favorite woods, the colors are so rich looking. I like how this one's style is a bit futuristic, yet also traditional at the same time. #woodcarving #artyutensils

Those are all cute frogs. And I can see how well camouflaged they would be, though they're all different shades of green.

I don't think that most people realize how much of an artist's time is spent in planning things out. That deciding on placement, colors, elements & shading/lighting is a large part of doing a picture, often before a pancil or paint brush is picked up.

You're welcome. :)

That is very cool and has a great retro feeling.

I think the mesmerizing effect of fireplaces tap into a primal feeling from our farthest ancestors.

That's terrific and has a timeless quality. Congratulations on the Award. Well done!
