If politics corrupts economic data, it stops being useful. Businesses won’t trust it. Voters can’t hold leaders accountable. The value of data lies in the truths it reveals — lose that, and you lose everything.

After decades of right-wing lies about immigrants as lazy freeloaders who contribute nothing but receive benefits - it's particularly egregious to see DOGE and ICE raid employer information and TAX RECEIPTS to find where immigrants live.

A better way to think about this is that poor kids in historically underfunded schools will suffer the most.

This means majority Black, brown, indigenous, and rural school districts will suffer.
These are the states that will suffer most from Trump’s executive order to gut the Department of Education?

Not the deep-blue states that Republicans love to attack.
