That's a subtly angular yet round comment, cold and sapid, left handed and vertical

Even in Germany some red wines have been hitting 15.5-16% abv.

Only if it's unusual!

I do feel people, if they enjoy a wine, do want to know a bit about it. Where it is grown, why does it taste like that. Some interesting tidbit about pruning maybe. More memorable stuff than 19th century classifications, geology or buzzword bingo tasting notes.

This is all quite timely as Aldi have been selling two vintages of La Garde for £9.99. Lesser vintages ('14 & '17), but it's still the first wine.

My wife is British so I've had to explain this one many times. Still, very hard to get right as in Spain you only have milk either cold or frothy / boiled (like making coffee). Asking for "warm but not hot milk" is puzzling.

Isn't that the same price as a 155mm shell?

How do you find the comments compare here and on Twitter? This doesn't look all farmed!

Didn't know they grew Merseguera but makes sense they'd mainly focus on Spanish varieties.

Yes, very nice. I have drunk quite a few of the Petite Vanguard, which is lighter and juicier. This is a step up on the serious front but doesn't miss out on the pretty palette of red fruits and flowers.

I really wasn't that far off. I assume it was to ensure he didn't have to refund you if it wasn't ready to drink. Petrus 2022? 😂

- Is this a very tannic wine?

- Sorry, wrong question. You are meant to ask "is this wine made of dreams?" And yes, sir, it really is.

It's good

Cab Franc can be overripe too. Maybe it doesn't present itself as pruny and tannic, but it does lose its herbal / mineral soul.
