Oil Painter and former foster father… I ADOPTED!
My dad cannot tell a story. It starts with seeing a random dog in his yard and ends with possible prices for electrical panels on a house he has never been in.

I have started pretending to be and AI answering bot whenever I pick up the phone and it is a telemarketer. Just now, I had someone yelling out “representative” over and over because they asked if I wanted to sell my house.

I have to love how a gift given to me because of how much they appreciated me has now become my June Birthday and Christmas gift… and that I “should appreciate that I got anything at all.”

This is sad, and I am sorry…
My 2 children are adopted, and I occasionally obsess over the awful death of their bio mother. It was not deserved and I wish she was a part of my children’s lives. I fully believe the man that killed her also harmed my son, and I would kill him now if I could.

I am an overweight heavy drinker. I needed to make a change so I got a new doctor to have a fresh start. I am almost pissed that my blood work came back excellent with a healthy blood pressure. Doctor said I should loose weight and drink less, but… “You don’t have to rush into it.”

Does anyone else think that the reason Trump is making these deals with Argentina is because he wants a place for him and his MAGA friends to hide after WW3?

What is the point of pre-checking in for a doctor’s appointment when you have to do it all again when you arrive at the doctor’s office?

When things start to go well and feeling normal again, life is there to give you a nosebleed as you carry heavy boxes while needing to sneeze.

I have had a day. I am sick, and my wife has decided that the kids have been “Too Much!” So she has locked herself in her room again. If I can watch a “new to me” scary movie before passing out, I will.

My #ScaryMovie for the 19th is the 2010 Nightmare on Elm Street… this is what happens when a remake takes itself to seriously. There are some good points but it does not continue the fun from the original series.

My “New To Me” #ScaryMovie was definitely not a Scary Movie. My 6 year old daughter wanted to watch a movie for Halloween, so we watched Hocus Pocus 2. It is ridiculous thinking the first came out when I was 10 and the 2nd when my daughter is 6. The movie was cute. Not scary at all.

The “New To Me” #ScaryMovie for the 17th was The Strangers: Chapter 1… why is this a franchise? And why is this going to be 3 parts!!! The only good part about the first is the believability, but now they have powers! I need to watch a good scary movie soon and not listen to friends suggestions.

The “New To Me” #ScaryMovie is the 2021 #JapaneseRemake of #TheCube. I really liked the original film to the point I have watched the awful sequel and awful prequel more than once. This remake was the most boring of the 4. It completely misses what makes the original special.

For the 15th day and 15th “New To Me” #Scarymovie I chose #RearWindow (1954). I wanted to do at least 1 #AlfredHitchcock film, and on a ranking of the 10 scariest, this was the only one I hadn’t seen. I have seen the Christopher Reeve 1998 TV remake. I now see why the original was so much better.

14th #ScaryMovie for OCT is Choose Or Die. The idea is a haunted video game that makes this film feel like a supernatural escape room rather than a Hellraiser. I will admit there are ideas and parts I liked, but it was a little more funny than I think the makers wanted it. I would watch a sequel.

The “New To Me” #ScaryMovie for the 13th was Companion. These are the kind of movies I wish I could go in blind, but sadly the only reason this film was on my radar was a YouTube Short. It is good, but would have been more interesting if I wasn’t anticipating when the twist would take place.

Here is where I embarrass myself with my 12th “New To Me” #ScaryMovie because this is the first time I watched #JAWS. I can see what this movie is such a classic. It holds up 50 years later with building tension and creating believable characters.

“New To Me” #ScaryMovie for the 11th is the recent #NetflixDocumentary “My Father The BTK Killer”. Sometimes #TrueCrime & real life can be more horrifying than film. The unsettling part of this is how it humanized the BTK killer while showing the horrific aftermath of trauma pass to his daughter.

“New To Me” #ScaryMovie for the 10th was The Wolf Of Snow Hollow. I had two big issues. First, the jokes didn’t land for me. I can see how someone could find the movie funny, but (my second problem) everyone had the same style of humor. The movie kept the same tone no matter what, and I was bored.

9th “New To Me” #ScaryMovie for the month is #TheVVitch. Even though there is supernatural elements, the story does not feel reliant on the witchcraft. My favorite part was the destruction of the family through pride, suspicion, and sin. This family would have destroyed themselves without the witch.

The 8th “New To Me” #ScaryMovie for OCT was #LateNightWithTheDevil. There is a lot to like about this film, but i ultimately felt let down. Maybe I let the hype influence my opinion. The 70s setting and stylistic choices are the highlight.

7th “New To Me” #ScaryMovie for OCT was #Barbarian from #ZachCregger. This movie was incredible! I watched this because of the hype for his recent movie that I have also not seen yet. I was not disappointed. I was uncomfortable right from the start. There was no rest points in this movie.
