A new Lancet study based on official Gaza Health Ministry numbers for fatalities between October 2023 and September 2024, shows that the life expectancy in Gaza has fallen by approximately half, a loss of 38 years (-51.6%) for men and 30 years (-38.6%) for women.

it's really unfortunate that our leaders - from the city level to the state level - are completely failing to understand we need TOD to prioritize a good social and economic mix of residents, climate adaptation, and positive public health outcomes.
