It's often not realised that the term "Anti-Semitism" was originally coined by antisemites, who wanted to insist that they weren't opposed to *Jews*, but to "Semitism" or "Jewish ideology". It's a well-trodden fake distinction.
When right-wing figures say they’re opposing “the trans agenda” or “trans ideology,” they're attempting to portray their efforts as targeting a *political program* when in reality they’re targeting trans people themselves, and pushing for their full exclusion from public life.

So this lawyer, if I recall correctly, was originally slated to be White House Counsel. He was then assigned to be counsel for DOGE. And now he’s gone.
