Getting an oil change day before Thanksgiving isn’t recommended, I would say. Everyone wants to go home early.

I’m geeking out so hard on this and I don’t do that often.
LEGO posted this cute video for the launch of their first official #StarTrek set today

I feel like I need some kind of guidance on how to effectively manage my time because it's 2:30 pm and I haven't really done any real work yet. My brain is just all over the place.

Older I get and look at Mac and Windows offerings, more likely I feel that I'll just go Linux based full-time.

So clearly, I'm not going to get any work done. I may as well spend rest of the day watching tech videos while my brain recovers.

It seems it's one of those "take it easy" Friday afternoon after my migraine session is starting to finally let up. Twice this week now. Fun. Now I need a nap.

Someone posted about a music video few days ago here. I thought I would share it to my work slack since the engineers have unique taste in music. Now I forget what it was. Ah...

I was wondering why my battery was draining so fast. Turns out it was due to sound recognition feature, which never works.

My iPhone battery is now at 39% and it’s only 10:30 in the morning. Coincidentally, I’ve been getting messages from Verizon about upgrading. 🤔

Interacted with Anthony Natale, who played the grown up son in Mr. Holland’s Opus when I was 14. He told me that Richard Dreyfuss has a sign name and I could be a good actor.
Right folks. Feeling rather down at the moment so bringing back an oldie

Should we get a dog? Kids want a cat but I’m allergic. And now I do miss having a dog after ours passed on couple years ago.

Just dropped off the car at shop. I suspect it will be expensive. 😞

But at least I got to submit talk proposals for KubeCon NA. Hope they get accepted so I have an excuse to actually learn something. 😝

Disability is not a moral failing. Everyone who lives long enough will become disabled eventually.

You can’t “try harder” your way out of it.

People can’t accept disability is a part of life, so they blame us for being sick as a way to convince themselves it’ll never happen to them.

It will.

I wonder if this is a good time to state I have never seen Idiocracy and perhaps never will.

I think back to the time when I talked to a Deaf person about interpreter quality. He said that he once bluntly ousted an interpreter in middle of a speech and replaced them with a more qualified one. Didn’t beat around the bush. I wish for the same energy when it comes to representatives.

Drinking Recess in my chair while kids watch Johnny Test on a Sunday afternoon. Sometimes it’s the simple things.

On way home from visiting in-laws, my kids were excitedly chattering in the backseat. When we got home, they immediately went in and grabbed some papers and started writing and drawing. Turns out they wanted to write a story. I love this so much. Is this how writers actually get started?

Apple forcing 60 minute delay to reset password after failing attempts to login is ridiculous.

Finally took the armrests off my home office chair. I think it's already ingrained in me since my first QA job was spending 8-10 hours a day testing software in a room full of computers and armless chairs. It feels liberating.

It is ironic that, as a deaf person, I don’t like making phone calls and prefer to use online options if possible but I find this stupid. Because there ARE people out there that cannot use online resources for one reason or other and prefer to use phones. This is why we have DEI.

Finally getting the chance to use Ubuntu to see if I can recover my dead laptop. Hands down one of my favorite distros and I wish I had opportunity to use it more.
