Roads cost too much because there are too many of them.

Tolls and gas taxes subsidize sprawl, which is the enemy of our forests and our budget.

We need trains going between our towns. They need to have regular, reliable, affordable service at all hours.

Initially more expensive, but cheaper.

If I were writing this episode, @karenattiah.bsky.social and @lexmcmenamin.com would start a worker owned cooperative publication.

Maybe this will finally convince Democrats that these are not normal times and bipartisanship is currently not viable or even existent?

That place is great! They get some big names to visit a comparatively small city.

The police are proving again they're incapable of some of the activities the "defund" movement tried to divest from them.

They can't do mental health, and they don't want to. But they want the funds.

Before EMTs existed, the police filled that role. There are similarities.

Non-conforming cis people are going to catch strays. Primarily masculine women, because sexism.

I no longer live in that region, but having grown up around Cleveland, I was always jealous of Chicago's shoreline parks, and the lack of impediments for pedestrians to get to them. So much lake access for residents.

Ok, now we need a flowchart to determine when they'll extinguish and when they'll enshittify.

No true Scotsman

That's not written in the RFC. It's implied by—and an assumption of—the protocol, but an app could use a dark pattern to try to get users to submit their entire contacts list.

Not sure if that's out of scope or not. Yes for atproto; No for Bluesky.

I don't know what you're talking about. British food is great.

Masala? Magnificent. Dosas? Divine. Samosas? S'more, please. Baingan Bharta? Brilliant.

Does unicode support multiline brackets?

Why did the police continue to chase them when the chase turned into a danger to the public?

Your framing here of "leading police" puts all the culpability on the criminal, like the police can't simply choose to protect the public by simply not chasing.
