The police are proving again they're incapable of some of the activities the "defund" movement tried to divest from them.

They can't do mental health, and they don't want to. But they want the funds.

Before EMTs existed, the police filled that role. There are similarities.

Thank you for writing that. I was unaware of some of Scott's moves. If not for the extremely low bar, he really wouldn't seem like a moderate.

Don't get me wrong, I agree with the need for replication.

Your article describes your position well. I just think a study can account for flukes by running the experiment multiple times.

The argument that the initial study can be flawed or poorly documented is stronger, imo.
