The thing about being a powerful woman in this society is that it almost always means you’re around powerful men who can still do you harm.

And also, gender transcends hierarchy. Famous women endure *a lot* of damaging sexism from men who have way less structural power than them.
I can’t stop thinking about this page of allegations from Blake Lively’s lawsuit. If this could happen to an A-list actress on a set for a movie that made $350 million, it could happen to anyone on any kind of set.

I will meet all kinds of people where they're at. I believe there are things we can do that would benefit everyone, even people who don't like me based on who I am. but when you tell me I have to tiptoe around their feelings, lol no. that's not how mutual respect is built in the first place

This app just proves to me (not that i needed it) how much bait/red-pilled/alt-right rhetoric is forcibly pushed into your feed and down your throat on twit, its so peaceful and im not worried about having to see the worst posts about things i love or care about
