Usually bored of the digging up GOP quotes from 2016 thing but this is a particularly good one
Ted Cruz in 2016, "We're liable to wake up one morning and Donald Trump if he was President would have nuked Denmark"

"That's not the temperament of a leader to keep this country safe"

This is the 47th piece I've written and published this year. And as those who read my pieces can attest, we're not talking short and easy writing. Knock on wood, I think I'll be able to hit 52 pieces this year. Which is an insane rate of output. At 34 dollars for a year, my birthday sale is a steal

Extremely interesting piece from a former fact checker at the New Yorker which includes the information that David Remnick prevented the use of the word genocide in their coverage because he personally didn't believe it was a genocide.

A significant number of heterodox economists signing this, evincing a significant commitment to solidarity beyond personal intellectual proclivities.
Over 125 economists signed the open letter calling on the President, Congress, and the American public to uphold the principles of Federal Reserve independence and not remove Lisa Cook without due process.

There's still time to sign! And please share.

Climate models have underestimated the departure of high temperature extremes from monthly means.

If we assume these model biases persist in future projections, then the climate models are also likely underestimating the magnitude of future high temperature extremes.

Historical model biases in monthly high temperature anomalies indicate under-estimation of future temperature extremes - Communications Earth & Environment
Models tend to underestimate mean monthly maximum temperature anomalies by 2-3% and extreme anomalies by 11-12% over the period 1980 and 2023, which could lead to temperatures 3 °C to 5 °C higher than...

Its only surprising that Mamdani has a plurality of the Jewish vote and 2/3rds of 18-44 Jewish voters to people who spend very little time among (a variety of) NYC Jews but a lot of time absorbing unadulterated propaganda.
Also in Zenith Research/Public Progress Solutions poll:

Mamdani has 43% of the Jewish vote, including 67% among younger Jewish voters aged 18-44.

Cuomo at 26%, and 33% among Conservative/Orthodox Jews.

Adams at 15% with Jews, at 27% with Con/Ortho.

Mamdani has 21% among Ortho.
