Mainly listening, occasionally responding.

Multiculturalist and Humanist.
They agree with his aims. I don't know why this is so hard to believe.

Person hostile to equity, while denying those who actually benefited from equity the equal opportunity to speak.
Now they want to go quiet and refuse to report on the outcome of the very institutional narrative they helped create. They no longer want to seriously report on racism.

The New York Times deeply upsets me because they helped lead the manufactured DEI panic that encouraged overreach by the Trump administration, which now labels everything as “DEI.” They gave Chris Rufo carte blanche to push whatever narrative he wanted and provided a platform to every

It's intentional at this point. The media shouldn't get the benefit of the doubt. They agree with Trump's aims and are trying to soften what he's doing by calling his white supremacy an attack on DEI. After his whites-only immigration plan, there's no way they can still believe this is about DEI.

The media is awfully silent about the Trump administration’s anti-Blackness. It’s a cornerstone of his administration, and I wonder if it’s intentional. The NYT, Washington Post, and WSJ are all avoiding talking about it. Maybe they agree with Trump’s worldview. That’s the most likely explanation.

If it was DEI or Trans people, you would have invented something to write about. GTFOH

By "the media apparatus to the left" he means the New York Times.

I just learned that news organizations used to have a public editor or "ombudsman"for this stuff. What happened to them?

Is Jake Tapper doing okay?

I beginning to notice that their narrative matters more than anything. People like OP do not possess the humility to be wrong, but they have access to platforms that more intellectually honest people couldn't access.

I immediately thought of this:

"Mikey doesn't know
Mikey doesn't know
Mikey doesn't know
So don't tell Mikey
Mikey doesn't know
Don't tell Mikey"

How many Trump supporting oligarchs control the streams of information? How many run the country's major businesses and resources? How many in America's educational and legal institutions are cowards and incompetents? The average citizen has to do something about them first to beat Trumpism. IMO

I've realized that it's the American elite that's allowing Trump do to what he's doing. I should have realized it sooner, considering America's a semi-democratic oligarchy, but the way the American elite is acting is something out of Putin's Russia. I think they are more of a problem than Trump.

What you journalists should do is wage war on oligarch owned publications. Make the public distrust them by making the case that they serve the interests of the wealthy elites-which is true- and that you guys provide an alternative which is objectivity and honesty.

You know where you won't hear about all the racism that is being normalized by Trump, Miller, and the Right Wing? The New York Times reporting section!!!! They hate diversity and love white supremacy so much they are pretending that it doesn't exist!!! The NYT? Yes, The New York Times.
October 29, 2025 at 4:34 PM
Serious question. Why can't the real journalists start a collective to bring people real news? Why is it when some oligarch buys some publication, the journalists just disperse or cave? You're telling me all the journalists from these organizations can form a new publication or group?

That looks like the Kennedy bridge in Louisville

Is the anti-black racism the other hateful rhetoric? It's become so normalized that the New York Times doesn't even report on it. I read the article is there is zero mention of his anti-black racism.

John Roberts said that he thought the Dred Scott decision was a mistake. I think he only feels that way because Taney didn't lie about what he believed by hiding it under race-neutral language- he explicitly mentioned race. Roberts agreed with the outcome, just not the mention of race. Guy is sick.

Peep the most-liked comment in the article. I don't expect the media to report on it, but people who see DEI as a threat have to lie about it to protect their privilege. The most-liked comment is a lie—but it's one that a lot of people agreed to tell. The journalist fact-checked them, though.
