DC's first responders are part of the communities they serve.

From clapping students into school, teaching little Washingtonians fire safety, and supporting parades across the District—they show up for our city.

That commitment to their fellow neighbors keeps DC safer each day.

Gave the album a few more spins and not as against it as I originally was. Moving my rating to ⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.
Gaga’s Mayhem album is just so so. Nothing groundbreaking about it. Seems like we’ve heard it all before. Best thing about it is the track that came out last year with Bruno Mars and wasn’t supposed to be on tie album: Die With A Smile. ⭐️⭐️ out of ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

Re the #Emmys, three things:

1. Nate Bargatze was an awful host. The countdown clock for Boys & Girls Clubs was in bad taste. 👎

2. The writing team for this show 👎.

3. The Studio was the darling tonight only because it’s about the industry. I couldn’t get through but half of the series. 👎

We have a lot to be proud of in Washington, but what I am most proud of are our people and values.

And what I have seen over this past week is a city that knows how to stick together.

You know what, DC? I think we can have a Super Bowl here.

Imagine the strength and grace required to reach this beautifully profound summit. We would all be served well to heed Michell’s learned advice. ❤️
Being a person with deadly, incurable cancer who is nonetheless still alive for an indefinite timeframe gives me an interesting metaphor that helps me deal with things like large-scale corruption in government or commerce.

Bear with me for a second while I try to explain.

Why is this app so much better than the former app? Was hoping it would be a refreshing change but there’s nothing on my timeline other than MAGA crap. Guess I’ll be deactivating this app soon too. Just unfollowed a ton of accts I followed on the bird app. Maybe that will help?

If I wanted to see everyone still going on about TFG and the future guy, I would have stayed on the bird app.

Thinking back to summer 2023 when my sister and I had the great fortune of seeing Brandi Carlile and the icon Joni Mitchell, et al, at The Gorge in Washington State. It was a magical experience and one I continue to pinch myself over. 🎶🏳️‍🌈❤️
