It's important to remember that the inventor of the aeroplane also invented the plane crash.
Politics with a bit of rugby.

Glad to hear. One stupid mistake too - the PFI expansion...

8 out of 11.

Still shocked that married couples' tax was not disaggregated until 1986!

Christ. I think in this saga, we are seeing true colours and why the Corbyn project was always doomed to failure:
Policies many people could get behind but doing politics like a bunch of stroppy teenagers.

Your diagnosis was pretty spot on too, judging by how they've turned this around with a single strongly ideological figurehead.

Ha, sadly rather true...

What I don't understand is that it is a struggle even though we hold all the cards?

I think you are right, sadly. I also think that, somehow, Starmer has been convinced that a) there is still a Ming vase to carry and b) McSweeney knows how to best carry it. He couldn't be more wrong.

Put simply Starmer is simply not up to the job, he can't cope.

Blue Labour is similar to the Clare Fox/Paul Embery/Ella Whelan view of the world. They claim to be left wing - you just have to ignore everything they seem to believe in.

I have done in the past, and complained to the BBC using iPlayer to time things to the second as well!

But this was specifically pointing out the hypocrisy after the furore last week where the DG & News CEO resigned - ostensibly for not dealing with left/liberal bias.

You don't need to leftysplain it to me, I know.

Did you miss the the furore at the BBC last week where the DG & News CEO resigned, ostensibly for not dealing with left/liberal bias? My point, maybe too subtly, was pointing out this hypocrisy.

Are you using "(economic) migrants" from igorance or is the premise of your question disingenuous - the vast majority of 'small boat' migrants have asylum claims accepted.

Despite the implied assumption that they all want to come, France accepts significantly more (c50%) asylum claims than the UK.
