A built-in plaintext editor, so you can edit .txt files, or edit .md files as plaintext.

I need to do this all the time, and I currently use an extension for it, but none of the extensions are very good.

Yes, but it's awkward, which is why I said *better* multi-window UX. There's currently no keyboard shortcut to open a new window, for example, and many tools are only available on the "main" window.

Better UX when there are many open tabs one window. Instead of squishing the tabs together and making them so tiny they're impossible to read and hard to click on, make the tab list scrollable, or have it break into multiple rows of tabs.

Maybe even add tab groups? Or better multi-window UX?

Whenever I look up my old code I feel a warm fuzzy sense of connection to my younger self. I'm trying to solve a problem he already figured out, and he's happy to help me out and show me what I need to know.

I certainly do like this sort of thing. Really enjoyed your performance Dave, thank you for posting it.

FYI, Advent of Code is only 12 days this year, not 25 like previous years. So you only need to keep up the consistency throughout half the month :P

Hello, friends! After 10(!) years of #AdventOfCode, I've made some changes to preserve my sanity: there will be 12 days of puzzles each December (still starting Dec 1) and there is no longer a global leaderboard. Read more:

I think a lot of people have an "all or nothing" attitude about it. They view it as a binary choice between "wear a mask 100% of the time outside your home" and "never wear a mask at all".

Option A is a significant burden that most people don't think is worth it, so they do option B.

The idea that every issue has exactly two sides and both sides are equally worthy of consideration is extremely harmful, trivially untrue, and yet utterly pervasive for some reason. People integrate it into the core of their worldview and it wrecks their ability to apprehend reality

Before releasing anything I imagined it would be triumphant and celebratory but it really is just exhausting haha. All the fun parts of a release happen well in advance of the actual release itself

Gnog built a CPU in Logic World that implements RISC-V, hooked up a modded memory and display, then loaded up DOOM compiled for RISC-V, and somehow it actually works. Unreal.

Congratulations Gnog. A pizza well-earned.

It runs at about 10 minutes per frame. Here's a sped-up video of the first frame being drawn: www.youtube.com/watch?v=uJ-V...

Looks really cool!

I'm curious what inspired you to start this project. Are there shortcomings of the existing .NET IDEs that you aim to solve?

Unihertz Jelly Star. It's tiny, but it's packed with features -- NFC, fingerprint reader, programmable button, headphone jack, microSD or dual SIM, IR remote, FM radio receiver, and way better CPU/RAM/storage than you'd guess based on the size. Favorite phone ever!
