Star Trek was always about the kind of science fiction ideas that challenge the political status quo. Still manages to stay in that lane all these decades later. When big ideas rattle their cages, viewers either accept that and think harder, or ridicule it so they can escape thinking.

buckscountybeacon.com/2026/01/opin... When I read my late dad's hometown Enid, Oklahoma newspaper clippings online from his childhood (1940s-50s), I'm amazed at how crucial the local paper was to keeping their community knit together. It was literally their social media. Everything was in there!
