Also started building a solution to some of the marketing challenges we face in the companies I’m in. Started a few weeks ago. Already 50% of a production grade MVP. Lots of AI tools in it, tests, a full image editor, positioning assistant, billing, workspaces, permissions, CSP, webhooks + more 🚀🚀

The power up level of AI developing is mind blowing.

Outside of work I have a new project. I usually plan on paper but like the utility of an iPad for planning.

Couldn’t find a simple app where I can just swipe between pages. So I (it) built this in a few hours 🤯🤖

Managed to pull off the first public talk in Propeller after a few years. “AI & us” went well and was aimed at local people to show them how to use AI in their regular businesses. We’ve been asked to do lots more so it feels like it brought value!! 😮‍💨😅

Hope this can be of interest. During the Covid lockdowns I found Yancey Strickler’s Bento framework quite a nice lens through which to re-evaluate things. The balance of self-interest vs collective interest plus timeline was great for finding energy again. 👍

OK. I feel like I have been seriously powering up recently as my ai workflows as well as the tools have been getting better. This is part of a system I’m designing for my own needs. It’s a full blown editor that I started coding on Tuesday afternoon 🤯 #ai #buildinpublic

Screens from the Ordaloca app. These were the first version, but most of these stayed around in one way or another.

From GPS delivery points, local loyalty points (geofenced), discovery of businesses nearby, group purchasing and more…

These are the early mockups that we used to initially get customers onboard. These were built into a modular UI system that supports lots of product complexity: from bundled items with SKUs to booking forms, customisation, add-ons, complicated variants and more.

🔥Over 2000 products listed for a town of 35000.
🛍️ Each business with its own storefront.
🧾 All local orders in one place.

From POS, management of fulfillment, subscription, social media and everything our customers asked us for, we built a pretty comprehensive suite of tools exclusively for local businesses.

Been working a lot needing voice avatars on a new on a new project. But then needed one again for another project. So thought I’d work on a JS/React component that uses WebGL.

What do you think?

This is a 100% fully vibe-coded app that I’ve been trying to build. It’s almost finished and so far I’ve only read, but not touched the code (hard not to).

The bulk of this has taken around 1.5 days but also working on other stuff a lot of the time.

Happy to share my experience

What a great weekend in #Falmouth - such a great town. From the endless cafés, National Maritime Museum and lovely pubs, to one of Henry VIII’s keeps and amazing naval history. Such a lovely vibe everywhere. 😍 Well done again Cornwall 👏

What a weekend! Stephen Wilson Jr in Bristol and last night saw NIN in Amsterdam and they tore the roof off 🤯

Around 2005 you got to create integrated accounts everywhere with shiny Web 2.0 UIs running on Rails. For your site that was hosted on MediaTemple of course.

Beanstalk had a beautiful SVN interface and we moved to trunks and branches (if you weren’t in .Net world) 😙🤌

This was makeitlaunchit in February 2018. Still think this level of check-in is useful tbh.

Fairwell old friend. 🥲👋

“Make It, Launch It” was a very fun few months. Lots of makers published daily updates - sometimes way more. The most impressive being an app that shared 160 days of building! Good times.

After listening, I thought it’s worth sharing this great U.K. men’s mental fitness charity with groups all over the U.K. and growing fast. 💪

Cheerio Skype. You enabled me and my wife to become digital nomads back in 2009. It took 3 months for a client to notice it was still sunny outside. My SkypeIn phone number was hooked to my cell number and people just thought I was down the road. Videos ran on 1-2mbit perfectly. Game changer tech 🫡
