TRANSITIONS: After seven awesome weeks learning new skills and (we hope) contributing, today is my last day at the National Museum of the United States Army. On Monday, I return to the Pentagon, where I am joining the Defense Media Activity team as a DOD civilian.

This will be my last Veterans Day in uniform. Here’s how it started, at Fort Knox, KY, a Brit-by-birth American-by-choice who wanted to give something back after 9/11 and planned to stay in for one enlistment but found instead he’d made one of his better life choices and remained for the duration.
