Travelled to NYC w/ intention to see family for the holidays. Called siblings, parents w/ plenty of time to let them know I was coming. Messages ignored. No calls, texts. No Merry Xmas. No Happy New Year. That time of year when you realize you'll never be good enough for them😭

Holidays just suck.

I've driven through the South and I would get different looks depending on whether or not I wore my uniform when I was military.

If you're Latino or Black, this is a reality for us. I'd only feel safe once I got to Miami.
