A big part of people not publicly opposing Trump is the knowledge that they (and their families) are only one paycheck away from the street.

I keep seeing "impeach, convict, remove" posts after the Iran strike. Much as I want Trump gone, few reasons why that's not a great idea:
- He's already twice-impeached. A third without conviction will just look silly.
- Republicans still won't convict.
- If he goes we get ... J.D. Vance. Woo.

Remember 1989, when Ceaucescu called in the army to deal with massive protests in Bucharest? People pleaded with soldiers, and the army switched sides.
When the Guard hits L.A. streets, they need to be faced by their friends, neighbors and family, all saying "We're not here to fight you. Join us."
