Discovered a new (to me) bookstore in Petoskey,MI—McLean & Eakin Booksellers. While I love the new mg/ya/pb section, this classic kids section is a treasure chest—Nancy, Laura, Meg Murray, Curzon, Aslan, Harriet…and so many more.

These are adorable! I didn’t find them on your shop—will there be a link? And do you ever make mittens?

💯… I could have kept adding Snoopys and books, but this made my obsession look way more normal 🤣! (The blue cup is my favorite—I’ve had it since the early aughts.)

This guy came back so many times that I finally took his picture. He always landed on A and Z! I was editing an economic report, and I think he was trying to tell me something. 😂 Maybe he was saying that I should enjoy the beautiful lake day and shut my laptop!

Something seems off about eating that one! I love the memes. In keeping with the odd fish theme, people claim to have spotted an 8-ft Sturgeon near the surface of our lake in Northern MI (they live in the deep/cold water). Glad the sturgeon hasn’t been inspired by the catfish news!

I just did yoga with the giraffes at the Detroit Zoo. I think Mpenzi would love to have someone read Snap! Crunch! Munch? to him. He was very interested in watching yoga.

Not a meat replacement, but I love Shelly Westerhausen Worcel’s cookbook (below). Her charcuterie cookbooks are beautiful, too. Every recipe is vegetarian, and they all include a “meat suggestion.” Perfect for a mix of eaters. The soup cookbook includes a “new twist” to use each leftover, too.
