at my old job, if you were chair of a committee, you also had to serve on the committee of chairs. Thank goodness I never served as chair of the committee of chairs bc I couldn't have put that on my cv with a straight face.

For years I had dreams about a campus with a giant purple athletic shoe as a shoe store. Usually I was arranging to meet my advisor "by the Shoe." Today I was walking w/colleagues to a reception, and we walked past... this.
