I don’t know what you all are talking about i think Judge Cannon’s call on that penalty was very principled

I may still be *very* depressed about having moved to TX, but I found a great local bookshop, so I’ve got that going for me. Now I need a job so I can give @nowherebookshop.bsky.social all my money 😂

The fact that Quakers moved this fast should tell you just how serious it is.
Oh, per @nbcnews.com: Quaker groups file suit over the end of policy restricting ICE arrests in houses of worship.

Note: Quakers were some of the earliest supporters of Sanctuary, even putting out a booklet on the topic in 1984 (it's still available). www.nbcnews.com/politics/nat...

Adding to this, the charts and data on StoryGraph are *amazing*. I switched to avoid Bezos but had I learned about it sooner, would’ve switched because it’s just awesome.
Ok #booksky, let’s talk.

👎🏼Goodreads, owned by Amazon, fuels its monopoly on books.

👍🏼StoryGraph, a Black woman-owned platform, offers an ethical, ad-free alternative with mood-based recommendations, user control over data, and a focus on inclusivity. Support diversity over corporate power!

Have been feeling a bit hopeless of late, for mostly obvious reason.

Today, instead of observing inauguration in any capacity, I’ll be braving the cold to participate in the MLK March in my city with a small contingent of F/friends from my Quaker meeting.

What are y’all doing today?
