PL_venice gotta be the ugliest directionless map in the rotation.
yes, even over wutville, because as gaudy as it is, it had direction, and it passes with... way too many flying colors.
Venice is just a drab gray mess with interiors that might as well be dev textures

Fun, feel goody movie. The family dynamic and how each have their own strengths and flaws to overcome through each other was great. Kinda felt like grandpa and current santa couldve been just one character though.

"Oh, the Tom Morello song is obviously the champs theme"
"Nuh uh, its obviously the Brute Bomber's comeback theme"

Just as great as ever. Even rediscovered some story beats I had forgotten about.

It kinda feels like one of those game overhaul mods, focusing on the combat while just doing nothing for the map card and worlds. That combat is kinda snappy, though it does get repetitive.

I wasn't expecting to like the Disney world stories a lot in here. Sure they're shorter, but I'd venture and some of them beat the version in the first game.
As for gameplay, its alright, not as bad I remembered. Magic sleights OP.

I call this lovably janky. You can really feel its Square's first outing with this sort of game, but it does not detract from the charm and nuance of they bring out. Story is also quite simple, though notably has that 2000s localized japanese game-isms in the text.

This one one was a charming gem. Fun gameplay mixed with hilarious cast of characters. The only real complaint I have is sometimes there are really slow periods, and Moolah running out of uses too fast.

Little bit better than 2, still behind 1 though. Exploration is more emphasized, though combat took a bit of a hit. I thought the ship was going to be a more important mechanic from the intro, but its just a gimmick here and there.

Wrapped up the immediate loose ends to Dawntrail pretty neatly.I wasn't wowed by the Alliance Raid, felt pretty standard. Pilgrim's Traverse on the other was pretty great; I feel like its also futureproofed pretty well with the challenge logs.

I dropped this at the 80% mark because oh my god what do you mean you're going to make go through your old levels which is 60% repeated hallways. There's nothing really interesting here otherwise; its crass but its like, not even Conker crass. Just wanted to sate my childhood curiosity

Gonna be brutally honest: came out of this pretty underwhelmed. The designs, direction and music were great but it feels like it lacked the glue to make a really cohesive story and characters. IDK what was up with Sally and Dr Finkelstein, or even Oogie

They really locked in for this one. Stepped up the fight scenes immensely, and by god was gripped by that second half. Was not expecting to care for Shen Gongbao that much when I first saw him in the first one but here we are.

Still a joy to experience and play, despite its pretty much idiot-proofed combat really hampering it, and the last few hours you can tell they're struggling to wrap things up. Excited for whatever Kamiya's cooking next.
