Approving consents on Lookit is hands down the most heartwarming moment that reminds me of all the reasons why I am in developmental psych. The way children won’t let their guardian read the consent sentence in peace without reading it along or repeat “yes we both agree!” is the cutest thing. 😭🫶🏼

Receiving emails from application portals saying they’ve received a recommendation letter feels fuzzy and alarming at the same time. I feel “I’m not climbing this hill solo. My mentors are supporting me. I can do it!” But also, “Oh. Now I REALLY have to climb this hill.”
