Important to Note! Scrapped the 3D platformer portion of the game to spend more time on existentialism. :)

(forgot to post this earlier before the playtest but judging by feedback from the beta test, i think it was def worth pivoting!)

The measuring cup full of coffee is taking me out 💀.

Real.

Ooooo that sounds cool! If you're using games like Split Fiction and It Takes Two for inspiration, will you be incorporating puzzles? Bc I definitely think it'd be an effective way to tell the parallel stories. :D

I set up the main camera as a solid color w/ a black background. Then I made all of my game objects (walls & floor) black so that you could only see the light flickering and the unlit white material on the player cube.

This is what it looks like in-game and what it looks like in a gray color

This looks really cool and, even with the pivot, it still has a Pac-Man feel to it! I saw your original post w/ the Pac-Man clone and OOF I'm sure those walls and moving enemies were a pain to figure out.

This is so smart! I didn't even think about using 3D models.
I spent so much time messing around with images and sprites, trying to move them around...

It looks really good! The setup of the objects and lighting give it a very personal feel to it and I'm really excited to play it!! :D

Candy Box ! Has a similar feel to Universal Paperclips but instead it relies on the player waiting for more candies to produce rather than actively clicking.

Haven’t played too many of the games with images so it was nice to see an image even if it’s comprised of text.

In Wolfgirls in Love, although it’s entirely text-based the font style and wording really help visualize the story. The text is paced really well especially when the energy suddenly shifted.

Colossal Cave Adventure is very reliant on the player to imagine the world. Because the commands are primarily compass points, mentally storing the game map requires so much brain power… :(
