AI is decadent, as least as it’s deployed in the liberal arts.
It’s extraordinarily expensive tech, producible only by exploiting vast amounts of unseen labor, to produce things that are not only ugly but with utter indifference toward their factuality. It exists solely to exist. That’s decadence.

The problem with how I do social media is that I consume the internet like a terminally online goblin, but I only have the urge to post the most banal shit. I’ll read all the Glasgow Willy Wonka takes, but when it’s time to post my inner boomer comes out, like “Just had a great coffee lol.” Grim.
