Waders are starting to pass through Willen Lake with a Green Sandpiper there this evening. Purple Hairstreak was a nice bonus around there too

Stonechats and Sanderlings were regular fixtures of the beaches and dunes around Druridge Bay, with the former probably the most numerous bird in the dunes around Hauxley #NEbirding #UKbirding

It was great to visit Arnside Knott again earlier this month, to catch up with the Brown Hairstreaks which were quite numerous, as well as a Scotch Argus at it's southernmost English site #ukbutterflies #ukwildlife #cumbria
