Delighted to find this drake Smew near Brigg this morning. Initially on a break between jobs and without optics, distant and flushed along with 11 Goosander by a small boat they flew towards Cadney Reservoir.

The most unusual bird of the day at Gibraltar Point was a Ring-necked Parakeet which flew around the plantation a number of times before a close shave with a Sparrowhawk. Other highlights included Cattle Egret, Hen Harrier (m), 5 Swallow, Merlin, 3 Blackcap and 2 Brambling #lincsbirding #ukbirding
