Man, that is nightmare fuel. It reminds me of a restaurant at Lake Travis in Austin that had a whole bunch of outdoor patios at different levels connected by various lengths of stairs. Didn't work there, but got sympathetic angst eating there:

Rs can vote to kill the filibuster and pass government funding on their own terms, and Dems should want FB reform regardless of this vote. The filibuster is a big part of how the Executive Branch has become so powerful—Senators hiding behind it to avoid being held accountable for their votes:

The filibuster is just a ruse to grant plausible deniability to Senators unwilling to face difficult votes that could raise questions during their next billionaire funded election. Also, it largely doesn't apply to Rs anymore:
